The night was a bit rough, Akita kept howling all through the midnight hours. Who would have known something so cute could be so annoying; guess I could ask the parents. (Ha, Ha)
It was time to get my day started. I jumped into the shower, dressed, grabbed a protein shake and was about to make my way to the office when a small snip at my ankle had me realizing I was forgetting I was not alone.
"Oh Kita, what am I going to do with you...?"
This cute, fuzzy black face glared up at me as if to remind me of his presence. What was I going to do with him? I did not have the means yet to take him out with me; I was planning on doing so this afternoon.
I began to look around the apartment for anything I could possibly use. I dug deep into the back of my closet where her belongings were kept; not sure why I hold on to them, it's been a few months since she was around.
While going through her bag, I stumbled across a silver spiked necklace; this would be perfect! I clasped it around his neck and found a red satin scarf mother had given me on my birthday and used it as a leash. I think we were finally ready for the day, as I, we're, finally off to the office.
While walking along the sidewalk, oh, the stares we got as we continued on with our journey.
"Is that a..." the man couldn't get the full sentence out of his mouth before Akita's teeth were showing.
"Yes, yes he is." I replied as we continued on with our walk.
"That's just not safe."
a voice from behind us whaled out. "You have no right..."
WAIT... "I have no right to what?" I turned to the woman who seemed to have bigger balls than the average man for talking to me like that.
"That is not a domesticated animal..." she replied with a bit of sass in her tone.
"...and neither is your husband...but you don't hear me complaining." I said with a snarl on my lip. The utter look of shock on her face was more than I could have asked for as I gave her a sardonic grin.
"Why...I never." she snubbed out. She definitely walked right into this one.
"...and it shows...woman!"
I begin thumbing through my pocket for the keys smiling. Gazing up at the sign above the door, shaking my head, I can't help but to laugh, as A Place for Vanity glows in red, as we walk through the door.
Oh, one more thing...We made it to the office.
